A Home Away From Home
We understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet when you go out of town, especially if they are ill or recovering from a procedure or surgery. We at Jefferson Animal Hospital want to put your mind at ease.
We offer boarding for all pets. Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, etc. There are outdoor kennels and dogs get walked at least three times daily so they remain active during their stay.
All pets need to be clients and up-to-date on vaccines. If your pet is not an established patient you can book a vaccination appointment with one of our veterinarians before or on the day your drop your pet off for boarding.
Boarding: A Typical Day
Dogs
The dogs venture outside to our outdoor run for fresh air each morning before breakfast. While outside, their kennels are cleaned, disinfected, and stocked with fresh linens.
Depending on their physical capacity and ability, we walk the dogs who stay with us regularly.
Your dog will also be supervised throughout their stay with us during walks and resting. Dinner is served in the evening, followed by one last walk before bedtime.
Cats
Cats are often sensitive to changes in their routine, so will need special attention and care to ensure they stay healthy, happy, and content during their time with us.
Your cat will be fed according to your specifications and requirements to ensure its routine is the same as it is at home.
Our experienced, compassionate staff provides one-on-one interaction with kitties (if they want it!) daily, including play, snuggles, and pets. Throughout the day, litter boxes are checked, cleaned, and disinfected.
Additionally, we refresh linens and clean your kitty's room daily. Our cat boarding area is separated from the dog area to ensure your kitty feels relaxed and safe.
